Susan Guthrie, a top family law attorney and mediator in Connecticut for almost 30 years, founded to address the need for more affordable and accessible legal assistance for self-represented parties in family law cases and to assist those who want to avoid going to court altogether.

As a Connecticut family law litigator, Attorney Guthrie was court appointed as a Special Master in the Superior Court Family Division to resolve family law matters prior to trial. She is court certified in Connecticut as a Guardian ad Litem for the Minor Children and as Counsel for the Minor Children. Susan has completed several additional advanced legal and mediation trainings at Pepperdine, Yale, Quinnipiac University and Loyola of Chicago . She is a regular contributor to several online divorce publications including her latest article “3 Ways a Consulting Attorney is Worth the Expense in Divorce Mediation” in and was recently featured in My Business Magazine's article “Susan Guthrie of La Jolla Mediation Providing a Better Way to Divorce”.  In 2017 Attorney Guthrie was named by Lawyers of Distinction as  among the Top 10% of Family Law Attorneys and Divorce Mediators in the USA.
